Cabo is located at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula in the State of Baja California Sur. Basically, the whole area encompassing Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo is referred to as Los Cabos ( the capes ) or as we call it Cabo.
You may also like to know that most people in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, speak English. It might not always be good English but, is it English. Cabo is a hot spot for tourists from the US, especially from the southern states. Obviously because it is so close and most of the developers are also from there as well as many business owners. Cabo is a very American place. Cabo and the mainland Mexico are separated by a body of water so, not as many Mexican's live here as do on the Mainland.
